50044 "Exeter" - Ramsbottom Station - 03-07-2011

In superb exterior condition the Fifty Fund's 50044 (D444) "Exeter"stands at Ramsbottom Station with a Rawtenstall Bound service.

50044 was one of the first preserved locomotives I took an interest in when I first got interested in railways. At that time 50044 was proving somewhat troublesome with repeated Main Generator Faults. Since then the locomotive has for a period been mainline certified.
